United Hands for Relief and Development (UHR) is a humanitarian organization committed to delivering vital aid and empowering communities both locally and globally. Despite its noble mission, UHR struggled with establishing a clear brand identity that could effectively communicate its efforts and support its growth.
Within its first three years, UHR aimed to position itself as a prominent and trustworthy entity in the charitable sector. Although the founders had significant experience in non-profit work, UHR lacked a unified brand strategy that could elevate its visibility and impact in a competitive field.
Understanding the critical role of a strong brand presence, we partnered with the UHR team to develop a holistic strategy that would redefine its mission and vision. Our objective was to create a compelling visual identity that would resonate with stakeholders and clearly convey UHR’s dedication to unity and humanitarianism.
The cinematography played a crucial role in capturing the raw emotion and historical significance of the story. Wide shots of Mardin’s ancient streets and close-ups of Ibrahim Dardasawi singing against the backdrop of sunlit stone buildings created a narrative that was both intimate and epic. Symbolic imagery, such as the compass pointing towards Jerusalem, reinforced the themes of resistance, hope, and the unyielding spirit of the city and its people.
We initiated the rebranding by designing a dynamic logo lockup that captured UHR’s essence, incorporating the slogan “United for Humanity.” This modern and distinctive logo became the foundation of UHR’s rebranding efforts. Drawing inspiration from UHR’s core values, we engaged in an iterative design process to refine the logo, ensuring it embodied the organization’s mission of solidarity and support.
To maintain consistency across all platforms, we developed comprehensive brand guidelines. These guidelines covered all aspects from digital assets to print materials, providing a clear framework for preserving UHR’s brand integrity. This included a thorough redesign of UHR’s website, focusing on intuitive information architecture and responsive design to enhance user engagement and experience.
To extend UHR’s brand across various platforms, we developed a range of digital and collateral designs. From business cards and letterheads to brochures and promotional materials, each piece was crafted to uphold UHR’s brand integrity and facilitate meaningful engagement with stakeholders.
In the digital age, video is a powerful storytelling tool. Studies show that viewers retain 95% of a message when delivered through video, compared to just 10% through text. We leveraged this by producing compelling videos that humanized UHR’s mission and forged strong emotional connections with viewers. Our videos showcased the impact of UHR’s projects and shared personal stories of those helped, conveying authenticity and empathy to resonate deeply with audiences.
A critical element of UHR’s rebranding was revamping its digital presence. We started with a detailed mapping of the website’s information architecture to ensure a user-centric experience. This foundation facilitated smooth navigation and a clear purpose. In the visual design phase, we aimed to blend elegance with functionality, creating a visually stunning, fully responsive website that maximizes user engagement and fosters meaningful interactions within the UHR community.
Through strategic branding, impactful video production, and a comprehensive website redesign, we guided United Hands for Relief and Development on a transformative journey. With a brand identity that aligns seamlessly with its mission, UHR is now better positioned to inspire hope and drive positive change on a global scale.
We specialize in crafting compelling brand narratives and producing impactful video content that drives results and resonates with communities.
